Dropbox will act like any other folder on your Mac and make file storage and syncing. To get there you can either copy the path above, hit G in the Finder and paste it in, or hold down the key when you click the Go menu in the Finder, which will reveal you Library folder so you can navigate to it manually. When you install Dropbox on your Mac, you can set it up to load upon startup and integrate with Finder. Read & Write: Allows a user to open the item and change it. (You may also need to scroll down.) Select a user or group in the Name column, click the pop-up menu, then choose a privilege setting. If the information in Sharing & Permissions isn’t visible, click the arrow. I suggest creating a Lightroom folder at the root level of your Dropbox and putting it in there. ![]() Go ahead and move this to your Dropbox (close Lightroom first). You can even click the button to take you to the folder in the Finder. The quickest way to find it (assuming that you dont already know) is to open Lightroom, go to LightroomCatalog Settings in the menu (, with the keyboard), choose the General tab and read off the location from the top of that window. ![]() Were just going to put everything in Dropbox and go from there. Close all other applications and restart your computer Certain applications (like firewall, security, or antivirus software) could be causing the Dropbox desktop app to quit or crash. This is good because we have to fool both Lightroom and Dropbox. These are just like aliases, in that they let you make a shortcut to a file, only Symbolic Links are like super aliases, able to fool apps into thinking that they are the real, original file. Some of these fils can be anywhere you just have to tell Lightroom where you put them. ![]()
